It has been too hot to go out and paint, but I have been busy with several projects, one of them organizing my art studio.
Summer is usually a good time to also build an inventory of prints and cards, but I keep getting orders from my clients. Even though it has been so hot in New Orleans, the quarter has been extremely busy.
I am working on two special projects right now:
One for St. Mary's Assumption Church which I did a watercolor of the church and have created small canvases to give out at a special occasion
Second, is for Poydras home. For this I have created a watercolor to be used for their upcoming Christmas festival and fundraiser.
I am also busy painting to enter the New Orleans Art Associate National show. So far I have 3 new paintings, but I am still thinking I can do one more.
The first painting is called "Chilling with my Honey"
The other one is called "Early walk on Royal Street"
And this one was a view from the breakfast room in Calella de Palagrugel, Spain where I went to paint 2 years ago. It is a view thru the window. I call it "What a view!"
I am waiting to hear if one of my paintings has been chosen for the Ogden Louisiana Contemporary Show. I am supposed to hear this week, so keep your fingers crossed.
