Marina's Watercolors Virtual Art Show

DURING THESE HARD TIMES,

Where did I get my inspiration?

At the beginning of the Covid lock-down, I felt lost. My art business had pretty much disappeared, my grand mother duties were non existent, and everything else I was active in, was at a pause.

I started painting anything that inspired me of all the places I went to get out of the house. I did some urban sketching from my car, many times alone, sometimes with my husband. I took hundreds of photos and I have been painting almost everyday.

I would love to share with you these paintings. If you live out of town, I will have a virtual exhibit for you to see. I really appreciate your input as each painting has a story.

All paintings, if purchased, come matted. The size listed below is image size, not matted size.

City Park was my getaway especially during the beginning of the Pandemic. It was the only place open and it was so beautiful with so many spots to paint and sketch.

DURING THESE HARD TIMES,

Why a show?

This art show came about as a driving force for me to paint during a time that I did not see a reason for painting. I had a business painting New Orleans and selling my prints and cards in the French Quarter and other places in the city, but with the pandemic shutdown, this business shot down too.

All the art markets, art shows, and art lessons were non existent.
So I decided, that I would paint with a goal to have an art show when all this was over and it would be a source of celebration. (I love celebrations) I was ready to paint what inspired me these days : sunsets, flowers, nature.... I believe I painted 5 out of 7 days a week. The paintings on these show are not all, but some of my favorites.
Painting was my anchor during the time I was away from my family, friends , church, and it kept me happy and motivated .
Hope you enjoy these paintings as much as I did painting them.

Let me know how you enjoyed my Virtual Art Show!

Thanks!
