Marina G. Reed, originally from Caracas Venezuela, has been in the New Orleans Area since 1965. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of New Orleans in mechanical engineering. She is now pursuing her dream to become a visual artist since her four children are now grown.
Marina prefers watercolors because of the challenge they present due to the fast drying properties of the medium. She likes to paint architectural details as well as landscapes. She does original New Orleans houses as well as scenes from her travels to Italy, France and Hawaii.
Marina has been painting professionally for 12 years. She has been a member of the New Orleans Art Association and Louisiana Watercolor Society.
